April 22, in the town of Stara Vrhnika, about 50 kilometers from Ljubljana, Franc Grom shows one of his special Easter egg shells which he has decorated with more than 2,000 holes. Grom, a 70-year-old Slovenian craftsman, has in the past 18 years decorated egg shells by drilling holes in them.

He drills roughly between 2500-3500 holes in one Easter egg-shell, which usually takes about a week. Grom is the only craftsman in Slovenia who do artwork on egg shells by drilling holes in them.

  1. “From Slovenia” perhaps…?If someone is Slovenian(and lives near Ljubljana)they are from Slovenia. If someone is Slovak they are from Slovakia. And no,it is not the same country.
